Consistency produces results over time
Have you noticed how full gyms are in January and then suddenly when winter
approaches the numbers decline? The same happens to goals we set in our businesses.
Somehow, as time goes on our goals become more casual in nature. We begin to lose
focus and the discipline to follow through on our commitments.
Here is a thing, until you have done something for a period of time in a consistent manner, you can’t really say it works or doesn’t work. So, in order to be successful as an entrepreneur you need to develop self –discipline and will power; the ability to stick to actions and behaviors that lead to growth and success.
Discipline is doing what needs to be done even if you don’t feel like it - this is what differentiates winners from losers. Success doesn’t just happen – it comes as a result of you doing specific things in a specific way, every day, over and over.
One action at a time, over time, leads to results.
Since it is almost the end of the first quarter, it is the ideal time to review progress on two most important goals you set for yourself in January.
So, instead of reviewing your goals once a year; do quarterly reviews because you can pivot if necessary; to adapt to changes that may occur quickly so as to become responsive to your environment.
Remember, speed, responsiveness, and agility are critical in today’s dynamic business environment and in this Age of Instability.
